wheel chair

i saw a man on the
corner of the park. he
looked hurt and lost but at
the same time
he was kicking his legs
to roll down the sidewalk.
i couldn't help but feel
as though he and i were
the same; we both thought that
we couldn't walk. we both felt
trapped in wheelchairs of our
own making.
